Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel and encounters with Jesus in my everyday life. Hope you have a nice stay!

There Has to Be Something More

There Has to Be Something More

Living in faith can mean different things to different people. For me, living in faith means living in purpose. For some time, I have had the reoccurring thought that there must be something more.  I have woke up in the middle night thinking, is this all? Is this all there is to my life?  While that thought has been filled with some fear and uncertainty, I truly believe that it was the Lord asking me to search for something more. One night while spending time with the Lord, I heard Him ask me to write down what He was about to put on my heart. It is with obedience and utter faith that I share this on my blog. I hope this brings comfort if you are feeling that there has to be something more.

Journal Excerpt:

Cross the river and give up your old ways. Come to me in faith, faith, faith. I am your protector and I will never leave you. I need you to trust me and follow me when I lead you into the hard places. This isn’t about what you want anymore, this is about what I created you to do. To love, to nourish, to bring salvation to the ages and protect people in my name. Give up your old ways, cross the river and trust that I will keep you afloat in the trenches. Stay close to me and pray what I ask you to pray. Knock on my door and it will be opened to you. Ask for me and you will receive me and you will be filled with more and more of me. You don’t know 1% of the goodness that I have for you. Want it. Want me. Dig deeper for me and when you think you have found me, keep digging. Keep searching. You will find that I am everlasting and I will never turn my back on you, I will never leave you or forsake you but instead I will equip you with exactly what you need to complete the mission that I have set forth for you. Don’t stop searching for me. I am right here.
